Bluefin is a open source operating system (OS), meaning all of the documentation is available for the public and maintained by community members verified by the software managers. With Bluefin OS, it’s designed to be hands-off and manage updates for you! Once we help you set it up, you can focus on getting applications you want and using it right away. It feels the same as a Chromebook, but more powerful and customizable! Even if it’s your first time on Linux, it’s an intuitive platform that focuses on user-first design.\u00a0<\/p>

Based on GNOME desktop, Bluefin has a similar layout to Ubuntu. It is safe and reliable due to its conservative approach to software updates, a unique Update Manager, and a robust Linux architecture. It is not a distribution of Linux, but focuses on your relationship with Flathub, homebrew, or anything else you might put on your machine.\u00a0<\/p>

This new operating system has significantly higher system requirements compared to previous versions, which Microsoft claims are necessary for enhanced security. To run Windows 11, devices must support features such as UEFI, Secure Boot, and Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0. Additionally, official support is limited to devices equipped with at least an eighth-generation Intel Core processor or a second-generation AMD Ryzen processor.<\/p>
